The operation specification of the fistula and stoma care model aims to provide trainees with a standardized and normalized stoma care training process. This model is designed based on the anatomical structure of the human abdomen and stoma, with a realistic texture. It can simulate the shapes of colostomy, ileostomy and various fistulas, and is suitable for surgical care, rehabilitation care and self-care guidance and training for patients.
Before operation, you should prepare items such as the stoma bag, stoma base, cleaning supplies, care scissors and anti-seepage stickers, and check whether the stoma part of the model is intact. The nursing steps include: First, wear gloves and perform hand hygiene; Secondly, gently clean the skin around the stoma with warm water or a special cleaning solution, avoiding excessive friction. Then measure the diameter of the stoma, and cut the base opening according to the size to ensure that it can fully cover the stoma without pressing on the skin around it. When attaching to the base, press steadily from bottom to top to avoid wrinkles. Finally, connect the ostomy bag and check its sealing.
Some advanced models can simulate ostomy exudation, bleeding or skin irritation reactions, facilitating trainees' problem judgment and handling. After the operation is completed, the model needs to be cleaned and maintained to keep the stoma area dry and free of odor. Through this standardized training, trainees can systematically master stoma care skills and enhance their ability to prevent complications and improve the quality of life of patients in clinical work.
