The gastric anatomy model is a highly realistic teaching tool used in medical education and clinical training, aiming to help learners intuitively understand the anatomical structure, shape and function of the stomach. This model is made to the true scale of an adult stomach. Both its surface and internal structure have been finely carved and marked, clearly showing key anatomical sites such as the stomach body, fundus, pylorus, cardia, as well as the lesser and greater curvons of the stomach. Some advanced models are also equipped with detachable designs, allowing trainees to observe details such as the inner cavity of the stomach, the texture of the gastric mucosa, and the pyloric sphincter, which is conducive to understanding the physiological functions and pathological changes of the stomach.
In teaching, trainees can use the model to identify the structure of the stomach, practice surgical paths and conduct simulation training before gastroscopy operations, thereby enhancing their spatial cognition ability of the internal space of the stomach cavity. This model can also be combined with disease cases to demonstrate the locations and characteristics of common lesions such as gastric ulcers, gastric polyps and gastric cancer, closely integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical practice. Through repeated operation and observation, trainees can master the anatomical knowledge of the stomach, operation techniques and clinical judgment methods, thereby providing a solid foundation for the diagnosis and treatment of stomach diseases. Gastric anatomy models are not only applicable to anatomy teaching in medical colleges and universities, but also widely used in clinical skills training, surgical planning and continuing education. They are important tools for improving learning efficiency and practical ability.
